I was recently contacted by a company called Signs.com who wanted to give me a welcome home banner to review. I was thrilled because it just so happened that the mister was only weeks away from getting out of the military for good, so I thought it would be perfect to have a banner for him. Granted, he wasn’t coming home from a deployment, but getting out of the military was a pretty monumental thing for us anyway, so why not?
Signs.com is a great company who makes all things for signs, including car decals, yard signs, and window decals. They even have banner templates for our military, which was where I immediately went to, but you don’t even have to do a template. You can customize your banner however you wish and they have categories ranging from small business signage to birthday parties for kids.
Their customer service is fantastic, too! In fact, the man who contacted me told me that his grandfather served in the Navy and really respected those of us who continue to serve. Isn’t that sweet? He helped walk me through the entire process and was very helpful every time I had a question. Signs.com get A plus from me for great customer service!
So, like I said, I went straight to the military banners and picked the one I liked the most, which of course was the “Welcome Home Troops” one:
One thing I LOVE about these banners (and their other p0roducts at Signs.com) is that you can customize them:
You can see how there are little symbols that can be added like arrows and various shapes. I couldn’t resist adding a heart. And above the clip art is the color you can play around with. I changed the heart color from gray to red.
You can also change the size of your banner. I went with small and simple
Here’s how it turned out:
Our neighbors were asking us about it for weeks after we took it down
Are you military and have a soldier/airman/warrior/seaman coming home soon and want to make it a super special day for them when they return? Or perhaps you have a really important anniversary or birthday coming up?
Signs.com would like to gift one lucky reader with a custom banner of their choice (does not have to be the exact same as the one reviewed here, but it does have to be a banner). You may customize the banner however you like, and the size cannot be any larger than 48″X24″.
